Michael was trained as a clinical nutritionist under the functional medicine philosophy which is an evidence-based, systems biology approach to client care. The functional philosophy understands that every individual is genetically and biochemically unique and that one size does not fit all when it comes to nutrition and lifestyle goals.
Michael recognizes the impact of nutrition on all individual systems of the body, from the central nervous and cardiovascular systems to the immune and respiratory systems, and everything in between. He has been well trained on how to identify suboptimal levels of biochemical markers and to create nutrition plans that help to balance these markers, ultimately improving health outcomes and reducing client risk of disease.
The nutrition plan, which you and Michael will formulate as a team together, will be based on your intake information--your chief complaints, health history, all available biochemistry results (e.g. blood work, etc.)--as well as your ongoing communications regarding your overall health goals.
